A three-day training program on Koha integrated Library System has been held, organised jointly by the Maldives Library Association in coordination with the National Library of Maldives. The program was held at the computer laboratory at Village College QI campus.

The program was conducted from 3 to 5 June 2012 with sessions extending from 8:30am to 3:30pm for the three days.

Thirty participants from a number of different institutions took part in this program. It is also noteworthy that the training participants include 12 staff from other parts of the Maldives.

The training was conducted by Mr Nitesh Rijal (software engineer) from Nepzilla solutions, Nepal; assisted by Fathimath Nashfa and Ahmed Rasheed. A session to introduce the concepts of library cataloguing and MARC was delivered by Athiyya Shakeel.
