Dhivehi bahuge qavaaidhu 1, 2, 3, 4 [ދިވެހިބަހުގެ ޤަވާއިދު]

Dhivehi bahuge qavaaidhu 1, 2, 3, 4 was previously published under the title “Dhivehi bahuge Qavaaidhu eh vana bai”, in Latin by Presidents Office in 1977. Later the Thaana version was published by Dhivehi Bahaai Thaareekhah Khidhumaiy Kuraa Qaumee Marukazu in 1984 with amendments. The content of the book covers Dhivehi grammar. (National Library)

Dhivehi Raajjeyge rahunnaai ranin [ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ރަހުންނާއި ރަނީން] / Naseema Mohamed

This book covers information about the kings and queens who ruled from early days in the Maldives up to 1903 and it also includes the incidents, events which took place during their regime. The information used for the research was collected from local and foreign literature. The book is useful for historians, researchers, and students. (National Library)

Dhivehiraajjeyge qaanoonee nizaam / Husnu Suood

The book aims to provide law students, legal practitioners and other researchers with an introduction to the Maldivian legal system. The contents are divided into ten chapters incorporating all aspects of the Maldivian legal system. The author is regarded as one of the best legal minds of his generation. (National Library)

Dhonhiyala aai Alifulhu [ދޮންހިޔަލަ އާއި އަލިފުޅު]

This is a famous folk story retold by our forefathers and passed from generation to generation. This fiction is highly used by Dhivehi degree students to revive history, tradition, and culture of the Maldives in their studies. (MNU Library)

Dhuniye badhalu kohlehvi nabiyyaa: reethi seerathuge i’lmee adhi thaareekhee dhiraasaa / Translated by Abdulla Faarooq Hassan 

The first part of the translation is based on educational and historical research about the Prophet Muhammad’s life.
The second part of the translation is based on educational and historical research about the Prophet Muhammad’s life. The original book was titled as Paighambr-e-Inquilab by Maulana Wahiduddin Khan. This biography includes an introduction to the stunning diversity of Islam and the ways in which Muslims think, dream, and make Muhammad (PBUH) into their very own prophet. (National Library)

Dork Diaries is a humorous children’s book series written and illustrated by Rachel Renée Russell. The series, written in a diary format, uses drawings, doodles, and comic strips to chronicle the daily life of its 14-year-old protagonist, Nikki Maxwell, in and outside of middle school. Exchange and transport, energy and ecosystems / John Adds, Erica Larkcom and Ruth Miller

This text covers transport systems, adaptations to the environment, human ecology, sexual reproduction, modes of nutrition, ecosystems, energy flow and recycling of nutrients, energy resources and human influences on the environment. Fishes of the Maldives

Published by the Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture in 1997 ‘Fishes of the Maldives’ is filled with all the information about different types of fishes. Starting from the “Tawny nurse shark” all the way to the “silver stripe pufferfish”. It contains the local Dhivehi name, the English name, size and family of each fish along with a description. Nabeebeykalunge vaahaka 1 / Imaduddin Abul Al-Fida Ismail Ibn Kathir

The book covers stories of the prophets which have been compiled from ‘Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah’ (The Beginning and the End) which is a great work of the famous Muslim exegete and historian Ibn Kathir and has a prominent place in the Islamic literature.  The original book was written in the Arabic language, with this Dhivehi language by Ahmed Faarooq Mohamed.
