MLA, in partnership with the National Library of Maldives, is going to conduct a 3-day training program on Koha integrated library system from 10-12 November 2019.

It will give you hands-on training on how to install and customize Koha software for your needs, and train you on how to use the software. The training will commence with a short session on library cataloging skills.

Main Topics covered in the training are:
Cataloging different formats of materials,
Identifying bibliographic elements,
Koha administration,
Data entry and configuration for cataloging and circulation,
Setting system preferences of Koha,
Handling circulation and holdings,
Generating reports & using other Koha tools,
Browsing of existing reports in Koha site,
OPAC customization & searching

The training will be useful for those who are interested in implementing an online catalog in their libraries. It will also be a good refresher for those who have completed Koha training earlier or have started using Koha in their libraries.
