✨ Posts Open for Nomination:

  • President: The President leads the Association with the advice of the Council members and rules & regulations of the Association, and as stipulated in MLA Constitution. The President would have to oversee the Council’s administrative tasks, check all documentation and ensure the smooth progression of the Association for the 2-year term. The President is responsible for ensuring the annual report is submitted to the respective authorities to ensure the continuity of the Association. Late submission of the annual report incurs fees.
  • Vice President: The Vice President assists the President in overseeing the Association. In the President’s absence, the vice president leads the Council. Also, the Vice President temporarily takes charge of vacant posts until a new Council member is elected to that post.
  • Secretary: The Secretary is responsible for arranging Council meetings and handling all administrative tasks of the Council following the rules and regulations and MLA Constitution, and with the advice of the Council President and members.
  • Assistant Secretary: The Assistant Secretary is responsible for assisting the Secretary in handling all administrative tasks of the Council as per the Council’s rules and the advice of the Council President and Council members.
  • Treasurer: The Treasurer is responsible for the handling of the finances of the Association as per the rules and regulations of MLA and the respective Ministries. In addition, the Treasurer would also have to handle all the documentation relating to the finances of MLA and the Council and make reports on finances to be presented to the Council President. The treasurer is also responsible for communicating with current members to renew their membership.
  • Editor: The Editor is responsible for taking a leading role in updating the online and offline media of the Council and publishing newsletters and other print media of the Council,
  • Training Officer: The Training Officer is responsible for the arranging of seminars, workshops, and other training sessions as approved by the MLA Council. The Training Officer is also responsible for maintaining records of the training, including compiling the participant list and creating a short report of the activity.
  • Public Relations Officer: The Public Relations Officer is responsible to arranging, coordinating and promoting the programs held by the Council. This includes managing the social media and communicating the the mainstream media where required. The Public Relations Officer also would play a role in promoting the Association to bring in new members.
  • Additional Members (2 posts): The additional Council Members will assist the rest of the Council members where required.
