The newsletter was first published in [1989] with its name as “Library News” and was renamed “Library Magazine” in [1993]. In 1997 the newsletter was published with the title “Newsletter”. After a thirteen-year gap the newsletter was re-launched in 2010 with an ambitious target of regular publication thrice a year, with meet.learn.acquire as its new title.

meet.learn.acquire has been the association’s motto since its inception in 1987.

With the increased visibility of MLA activities reported through this blog on a regular basis, the need for a separate triennial newsletter diminished, with 2 issues published in 2017 and publications temporarily ceased from 2018 onwards.
